This is a RIAA Certified Sales Award for Stevie Ray Vaughn & his brother Jimmie Vaughan was released in 1990 just before his death at Alpine Valley in East Troy, Wisconsin.
This award commemorates the sales of more then 1,000,000 sales of this album on CD and Cassette. The award measures 13x17 in size. Keep in mind that this is an Official RIAA Award and not 1 of those cheap fakes that you see for sale on Ebay.
At around 1:00 a.m. on August 27, 1990, Vaughan was flying by helicopter from East Troy, Wisconsin to Chicago with members of Eric Clapton's tour crew. The helicopter crashed into the side of a 300-foot–high hill. Vaughan was killed, along with Nigel Browne and Colin Smythe.
