I used bright acrylic colors mostly orange as in the background because that's how I feel about summer in California. It represents the endless poppies and oranges. But the original color combination comes from a greeting card I made earlier. The bule, violate, gold, and white look astonishing together. This one is completed on a heavy duty gallery wrapped canvas. It's 12 by 12 inches, and 1.5 inches deep.
About the Artist: J. Zhao
Art has always been my passion since I can remember, though it took a long time and courage for me to call it a profession. I spent quite some time in school: earned my Ph.D. in education and worked briefly in academia, teaching and doing research.
My new job titles both as an artist and art teacher, however, began when I started homeschooling my kids during pandemic. I like to share my artwork and activities on various social media, and from where I get people interested in buying my art and asking me to be their kids’ art instructor.
