You dont see one of these every day! An excellent example of a very rare unheated double terminated Hourglass Yellow Sapphire from Sri Lanka. I am fairly certain that there is a trapiche at both terminations. This is the last one I have and are incredibly difficult to find on the market. The Sapphire has good transparency that could cut a nice gemstone. There are a few inclusions. The crystals surfaces have a matte luster and the crystal, although somewhat water worn, has a sharp well defined form. The hourglass shape is fairly well balanced in size and shape at either end. A very rare collectors specimen.
