Vintage 1940s! Dámaso Gallegos Taxco Sterling Silver Storyteller Bracelet, gorgeous handcrafted quality & design. Each panel has a different image. Five images represent symbols of Mexico life: donkey, agave plant, person wearing a sombrero, decorated clay vessel and a home. Black oxidized background to enhance this Sterling Silver bracelet. Bracelet is in very good condition. Good width is 1” inch. Weight is 56 grams. Hallmarks are Taxco Sterling 925 and signed DG. Please review all pictures.

Background:
Dámaso Gallegos (1890 - 1976) Gallegos learned his craft in the 'Taller Borda' workshop of Héctor Aguilar (apprentice of William Spratling). Gallegos mastered the art of both silversmithing and goldsmithing before setting up his own Taxco shop 'La Amatista' in 1941. Gallegos handcrafted his jewelry and favored the Modernist style.
