DuBonnette 1940’s Heavily Beaded Bag
It's a solid, weighty bag, encrusted on all edges and sides with iridescent 'carnival' glass beads. It has a very unusual pleated design and a knotted handle that is covered in the same beads. The colour of the beading is essentially brown, but coppers and golds are also evident for a stunning effect. The bag frame and clip clasp are goldtone metal. The interior is lined with a rich light beige moleskin fabric There is one stiffened pocket on the side, presumably for a comb, lipstick or compact. The fabric label that reads “Du Bonnette” is fully intact.
Purse measurements approximately: 5.5”X5.5”X5”
Handle has a 5” drop.
