This is an awesome vintage Black Velvet Opera coat! The pictures do not do it justice. I know it looks blue, but is Black!
It has beautiful gathered Puff sleeves. Nice basic collar. Two velvet buttons for closure. Beautiful cream colored satin lining. No stains on it. These are rare to come by in such vintage great condition. It needs some love for the lining, pressing or steam..
lining, with strap to hold it closed. This is either from the twenties or thirties. There is no makers tag. It is a size small 36 bust 28 waist, full length. There were a couple little seams that were open so I hand stitched those together. I bought this from an older woman who was an actress from this area but lived in New York City. These are rare to come by especially in this vintage condition! I do not think you'd be disappointed if you purchase this.
