Beautiful vintage, hand carved South American Aymara wooden male statue/figurine.
This one-of-a-kind folk art piece is wonderfully hand carved in exceptional detail. This full body wood sculpture is made from rosewood (I think) and portrays a full body standing man in a walking pose and wearing traditional, native Aymara dress including a Chullo hat from the Andes Mountain region of Bolivia/Peru/Chile. The figure is mounted on a painted wooden base. The piece is unsigned.
Measures approx. 9 3/4" H x 5 1/2" W.
In very good vintage condition with a bit of minor age expected wear and a few small dings/nicks in a couple of places. There are no chips or cracks. Please see pictures for more details.
