Rare, unique & Stunning deep red brooch with rectangular center stone embellished with an Aurora Borealis Crystal. An ab crystal surround the center with shiny red high domed molded glass teardrops decorating the outer ring. The highlight of the piece is a larger pressed satin glass teardrop stone with a rose. Absolutely amazing. Prong set open back stones in gold Vermeil metal. In excellent condition. 1 7/8” by 1 3/4”. Unsigned.
NY Edlee Creations, Seventh Avenue, New York City was a small team of artisans who made high-quality jewelry in Art Deco & Etruscan style with floral motifs. Traditionally, they used multicolored iridescent rhinestones, molded luminous glass, enamel, pewter & metal alloys. Many of Edward Stempa’s designs have been included in Copyright Catalogs published since 1950. Edward retired in 1973 and sold his business. Today, Edlee jewelry is quite rare and highly collectible.
