Absolutely gorgeous vintage Japanese tea set- with original styrofoam. This set looks to have never been used, no chips or cracks on any of the ceramic. There are a few pieces where the squiggle blue glaze accent has worn or chipped off-see photo of creamer for example (perhaps it is original to the application process rather than damage). The teacups are very petite and thin- unsure if they are porcelain or bone china. Due to the age and uncertainty of glazes used, unsure if the teaset is safe to use (glazes containing toxic minerals). Displays beautifully as is.
The teacups measure 1 1/2” tall and 3” wide. The teapot is 6 3/4” tall.
