A beautiful commemorative dish, this piece was created to celebrate the 75th Anniversary of Linz Jewelers. Linz was founded in 1877, moving to Dallas,Texas, in 1891 as a retailer of fine jewelry, known at one point as "the Tiffany's of the South." It was sold in the 1980's to another firm but was still operating under the Linz Brothers logo as late as the early 1990's with four stores in Dallas. This dish, made in the Honfleur pattern by Lalique to mark the special occasion, shows the importance of fine art pieces to the founders of the jewelry store.
