Vintage Pecking Hens Folk Art Toy

The key is in the details!
My Grandmother introduced me to this toy as a child. She lived in Poland until age 10. Many villages in Eastern Europe hand painted these pecking hens for their children or grandchildren during the Spring, mainly at Easter.
When you turn the paddle side to side each hen takes its turn pecking the seed. As the weighted pendulum moves so do the hens.
There are many on the market but this one is different, notice the heads of the hens. They are not red like most, they are the traditional blue! This is what makes this treasure unique & dates it to the region of Poland vs others I’ve seen.

Great working condition! There may be some paint wear due to age. However, it is a great piece of one of a kind history. I love playing with it as much as my children do!
