This purse belonged to my great aunt Clara and is from the 1940s. It’s a one of a kind vintage Pollydot Dages original purse, specifically a wooden box purse with a decoupage design featuring shells.
Pollydot Dages: Pollydot Dages was an artist known for creating hand-painted and decoupaged wooden box purses, often featuring nature themes like birds, flowers, or marine life.
See pictures for details and measurements as they are part of the description. There are some spots where the decoupage has a small fragmentary. Also on the handle there is a spot which is a half an inch where I had to superglue a piece of the handle back on that broke off. I took pictures of everything I could find.
This purse is in good condition considering it’s age. It would be a great addition to anyone’s collection considering it is a one of a kind.
