Unusual striking piece of art, framed in a double glass frame, with Arabic text in front and back, signed in two places- in the right bottom corner “Ruhan” and in the left back corner “Ruhan Karton”? It looks like two half-pages from a larger book. Total size of frame is 11 x 21 inches; image and text is 6.5 x 16.5 inches. Pages have water stains. The story is in Arabic, and mentions God, Allah, the Persians, and others, with stories of a kidnapping? (I do not speak Arabic, and this is through google translate). Could this be an image of one of the Arab sieges on Constantinople in the 7th and 8th centuries? Not sure.
