Vintage Rebajes Copper Fish Brooch, Rare Costume Jewelry

Vintage Rebajes Copper Fish Brooch. This is not a new one, it is the old one, but unsigned. And it is large. Many are tiny, but this one is large at 2.5 inches.
Early Rebajes was unsigned. (later, small pieces were also unsigned) It is identical to other signed pieces we have seen.
A bit of wear from being worn, but in excellent condition overall. The pictures show a bit of verdigris, as expected with copper.
Excellent vintage condition, vintage patina, tight secure pin/clasp. This one still has a lot of the shine, as it has been stored away from air, so it has not tarnished as much as many.
These were made in different sizes, and an entire collection could be centered just on this fish- they are that different. He made earrings, and other pieces. It was also made in silver.
It has personality that only Frank Rebajes could create. He was brilliant, and his works are just now being recognized for the artwork that they are.
