Great example shell flower basket from the 1970s. A lot of work went into this project, and the the result is amazing. The larger shells are Cowrie from the Indian Ocean, and the smaller ones are white Strombus. The frame is metal lattice and the shells are first beaded on a sort of fishing line, much like a necklace, then attached to the lattice all around.

NOTE : Shells are fragile, and a couple of shells are missing here and there, and it also would be advisable NOT to put a heavy plant pot inside.
