Up for sale we have this vintage collectible Z. S. & Co. Bavaria (Zeh Scherzer) hand painted teapot, lidded sugar bowl and creamer. Please study the photos as they are an important part of the item description. First off, this is an estate sale find and, unfortunately the teapot has a crack (see photo), but there are no other chips, crack or repairs. This set is old. There is a hand written note taped inside the lid of the teapot, saying the set was hand painted in 1909 by the owner's great grandmother and given to her in 1942 by her grandmother. It is hard to read since the tape has yellowed with age. This set is gorgeous! As you can see from the photos, the manufacturer's mark is on the bottom of the teapot. For size reference, the teapot measures about 4-3/4 inches tall by about 8 inches with from handle to spout. Indeed a lovely addition to your vintage Z. S. & Co. tea set collection.
